McNeill now lives in Los Angeles with his wife Carol and his children Taylor and Kyle. Family is very important to him.

After moving from Raleign,NC, where he was born, to Washington DC, McNeill's family settled in Atlanta, GA. At the time he was 12 and in the sixth grade. It was here that he first appeared on stage in a Bicentennail pagent. He then followed up as a munchkin for a children's theater production of The Wizard of Oz.

Following his high school graduation, McNeill studied at the Julliard in NYC. His studies prepared him for an extensive and impressive resume full of successes from the stage.

Robert and Carol McNeil founded Real Play Productions, which provided inner-city kids with creative ways to deal with crisis issues and to keep them off the street.
